I’ve been with Rodeco since 2006, spending the entire time in outside sales, covering 7 states and traveling over 750,000 miles.

In my free time, I enjoy golf, poker, and attending soccer games.

One of my favorite projects was working with Honda. From 2020 to 2022, they outsourced their manual hand deburring to Rodeco, and at our peak, we employed over 25 temporary workers to handle deburring parts.

I’ve been with Rodeco since 2009. For the first ten years, I worked in outside sales, covering eastern North Carolina and Virginia. Since then, I’ve focused on serving customers within a 100-mile radius of Raleigh, NC, while also supporting Rodeco and Blue Dog Blasting with marketing and customer service.

My favorite part of working at Rodeco is what truly sets us apart from the competition—process development. I always enjoy when customers trust us with samples to create new finishing processes or refine existing ones. Our process development lab and team play a crucial role in Rodeco’s growth each year—which, so far, has also helped me keep my job!

I’ve been with Rodeco since December 2021 and have gained extensive knowledge across all areas of the business.

Originally from Cincinnati, OH, I’m a proud Bengals and Reds fan. I’m also a Saint Xavier High School (Cincinnati) and Clemson University alum. Before kids, I was an avid golfer—now, I spend my time with my wife and our two little ones, Mila June (born June 2021) and Andrew “Drew” David (born April 2023).

I entered the industry during the supply chain challenges of COVID and quickly became a go-to, make-it-happen account manager. My focus is on getting you what you need—fast, at a fair price, and with minimal downtime. Task- and detail-oriented, I strive to provide quick, accurate, and effective solutions to keep your operations running

Adam Raines

Rodeco Service Manager

I have been with Rodeco since 1998 starting my career in the job shop working with the vibe and blast machines while working hard to climb the ladder to my current position of Service Manager

I cover the entire South East and enjoy every minute of my time on the road

In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, fishing, and working on my project truck

One of my favorite projects I have worked on would have to be Edelbrock from the sample testing to achieve the finish they were looking for on the carburetors to setting up the entire vibe room to run the parts on a daily basis

With 9 years at Rodeco—and hopefully many more to come—I take pride in ensuring our customers receive timely, high-quality products and services. As Shop/Warehouse Manager, my role covers just about everything: from leadership and training to keeping operations running smoothly, all while fostering a safe, fun, and productive work environment.

I especially enjoy working on automotive and firearms-related projects. Our team takes pride in those unique, one-off jobs where a car part or a firearm needs the Rodeco touch to bring it back to life.

Outside of work, I focus on family, friends, and maintaining a solid work-life balance. You’ll usually find me off-roading, mudding, four-wheeling, fishing, or watching football

The Rodeco Story

Rodeco was founded in 1960 by Robert Johannesen in Sanford, NC. The company was then purchased by current owner Bill Murphy and his partner, Jim Borrell in 1982. Rodeco was outgrowing it’s space in just a few years so in 1986, Jim and Bill moved Rodeco to a 9,000 square-foot location, also in Sanford, where the company remains in operation today. In 1994, a 4,000 square-foot addition was completed and then another 13,000 square-foot was added in 2004, resulting in their current 26,000 square-foot facility.

In 2000, Bill Murphy bought Jim Borrell’s share of ownership, making him the sole proprietor of Rodeco. In 2009, Bill’s son Ryan took over the day-to-day operations. The Murphys bring a unique excitement and passion for American manufacturing to their jobs. They both believe that helping to improve domestic manufacturing efforts results in more profits, more jobs, and less outsourcing. Their desire to strengthen the US manufacturing industry—and the country along with it—motivates them every day.
