Rodeco 4677 Acidic Burnishing Compound
Liquid, mildly acidic burnisher with a higher percentage of chemical bleaching agents for brighter finishes on copper and brass. Contains steel media corrosion inhibitors. The pH is 4.4.
Description: RODECO 4677 is a mildly acidic, liquid blend of surfactants, lubricants and chemical bleaching agents for vibratory finishing. Its pH is 4.5.
Application: RODECO 4677 is designed primarily for steel ball burnishing on all metals, but is good in deburring applications with ceramic and plastic media on aluminum and zinc.
Features:
- Non-phosphate compound.
- Keeps mass bright and shiny without frequent flushing and cleaning.
- Removes shop oils and oxides.
- Controls in-process corrosion to extend media life.
- Controlled foam formula for varying water conditions.
- Biodegradable.
- Good cleaner - will suspend soils to clean moderately soiled parts.
- Bleaches parts to attain light and bright parts.
Recommended Dilution: One to two ounces per gallon of water with a flow rate of 1 to 1 1/2 gallons per hour per cubic foot of mass. Concentration will vary according to the soil content of the part.
Storage:RODECO 4677 will start to separate at temperatures below 45°. Store inside in heated areas. If separation occurs, stir thoroughly before using.
Inhibiting: Completely drained steel ball masses may be stored for short periods of time without inhibiting after use. For long shut downs of over 3 days, a separate water soluble inhibitor is recommended.
Disposal: RODECO 4677 is biodegradable and contains no critical materials. Please consult your local or state EPA Department to determine the correct disposal method of used finishing fluids.
